In fact, LPG is a mixture of oil and natural gas under appropriate pressure and exists in a liquid state at room temperature. In the United States and Canada, the mixing of these two substances is generally considered to consist primarily of propane, while in many European countries the propane content in LPG is only 50% or less.
LPG is gaseous at normal temperature, can be liquefied under pressure or low temperature, and is non-toxic, but at a higher concentration, it has a paralyzing effect on the central nervous system of the human body, causing suffocation and death.
The octane number of liquefied petroleum gas is around 110, while the gasoline is around 90-95, which is higher than 5%-10% of gasoline. Therefore, liquefied petroleum gas has higher knock resistance than gasoline.
